Working To Help The Community

Part of Smart Sand’s mission has been to work closely with a variety of community organizations from not-for-profit charities to educational initiatives to local municipalities. Being a contributor and partner in the community is consistent with our philosophy of making the world a better place for everyone to live.

Supporting Our Municipalities

When it comes to good citizenship, there is no better way to contribute to the local community than to support our township fire and police departments, as well as local first responders. Supporting these areas of our community helps lower taxes in the community and also helps local municipal departments purchase the equipment and tools they need to operate safely and more efficiently.

Smart Sand proudly supports the local community financially, but also proudly helps the community through service initiatives. Supporting our municipalities is just SMARTER for everyone.

Helping Those In Need

As Smart Sand grows and employs more people from the local community, we feel it is our duty and obligation to help those in the community who are less fortunate. Our monetary and service based contributions to local food banks and shelters help to lift others up and take some of the weight off of local taxpayers. A consistent effort to provide service to those in need is SMART for all of us!

Educational Support

Our future is in our children and providing them with the best educational opportunities and state-of-the-art technologies enables them to learn now and become future leaders. As children in the local community grow and head off to college, Smart Sand looks to provide young adults with the opportunity to serve as interns and later become gainfully employed with Smart Sand. Smarter students become smarter employees who stay in the community and help stimulate the economy – and that is one SMART investment.

Literacy Initiatives

According to a study conducted by the U.S. Dept. of Education and the National Institute of Literacy 32 million American adults cannot read. That’s 14% of our population that read below a 5th grade level. These citizens struggle to be gainfully employed or participate actively in civic life. SmartSand believes that investing in programs that promote literacy will improve the lives of these people and most importantly their children and that is SMART for America’s future.
